Get reading, get weaving, get comfy, get an RV!

1. Love the great outdoors? Get revved up at the Halifax RV Show & Sale! January 19-22, head to the biggest indoor Sports and RV Show in Atlantic Canada for some inspiration for your next hike, camping trip, or family road trip adventure. Basically, if it has anything to do with the great outdoors in Atlantic Canada, you’ll find it at the show. Head over to their website for tickets! Do not spend this summer wishing you had have found that deal on the ideal pop-up trailer, backroad map, or axe that you could only find at a show like this – more than RVs, there are over 100 exhibitors!

2. Bring your best books to Agricola Street Books for store credit this weekend! The bookstore needs health, math, science, psychology, and history books. They would also love classics, kids’ fiction for ages 12+, and graphic novels for all ages. Max 15 books.

3. Head to the Art Gallery of NS this Sunday at 10 and we’ve your magic! Make Day is inspired by the exhibition Ta’n a’sikatikl sipu’l | Confluence! Learn to weave in an activity inspired by Mi’kmaw baskets. Paint the weavings and seal them before turning them into unique, wearable pins! Drop-in activity included with the price of admission. Best for kiddos 5 and up.

4. Put on your comfiest PJs and truck down to the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 this Sunday for a unique event celebrating the many cultures and experiences of people in Canada and Mi’kma’ki. There’s a bunch of activities including a pancake breakfast on Sunday at 10! Cost is included with admission.
