Festive fun is headed your way, Halifax!

The holidays are upon us, Halifax! With this much joy and cheer abounding in HRM and beyond, your family is sure to find some festive fun to brighten the weekend. A musical, the theatre, pizza, and markets—take your pick.

1. This Saturday, enjoy a beautiful musical story at the Bella Rose Arts Centre in Halifax. A Christmas Dollhouse is a musical for all ages written by Vladimir Sitnikov and Cheryl Edgett, inspired by the novel of same name by Halifax writer Richard Rudnicki. Based on a true story that took place in Nova Scotia during the 1930’s. There are 2 show times, 2pm and 7pm. Tickets can be purchased through Talent Studio Halifax


2. Neptune Theatres Family Series has Halifax feeling fabulously festive! It’s the 18th year for Dickens’ A Christmas Carol – running till December 26 – A heartwarming holiday classic for the whole family. Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is brought to life once again in this hilarious and haunted holiday experience. If you’ve never seen this story about redemption, charity, and the true spirit of Christmas live, this season is the time! 

3. Looking for last minute holiday finds? The Halifax Convention Centre is home to everything vintage this weekend. The Vintage Christmas Show features over 30 Maritime vintage and antique sellers. Admission is $5 and kids 12 & under are free. Show runs Saturday and Sunday 10 – 5. 


4. Who says you can’t stuff a sock with pizza!? Give a cheesy gift to your besties by heading to any of your favourite Freeman’s Little New York restaurants and purchase a $50 gift card!
