There’s a whole lotta fun this weekend…check out the races, pop up movies, the ranch, and a flashback!

1. Spend Friday night at the track! It’s affordable family fun at Scotia Speedworld. Running straight through to October, the raceway offers classic family entertainment with four different classes of race cars every Friday night. Kiddie Rides Night (coming up September 2) is one of their most popular events. All drivers bring their cars to the front stretch and park, the grandstand gate is opened, and the kids get to climb into their favourite car and safely enjoy a few trips around the track. Adults $20, Youth (8-15) $5, and Children 7 and under are FREE!

2. There’s a FREE showing of Jurassic World Dominion at Dewolf Park this Friday night at 8:30. Bring your own chair or blanket and join us under the stars for a free public screening. Popcorn and other great movie treats will be sold on site from their food truck.

3. Got a ranch craving? No, not the dip, the kind of ranch that has horses on it! A roadtrip away, open Thursday-Sunday, 12-5, Shelby Ranch in Scotsburn offers an exclusive ranch adventure with pony rides, petting farm, mechanical bull, sticky wall, wagon rides, and an indoor playground. You’re gonna love it! The kids are gonna love it! Ya’ll come on over, admission is $14 per person.

4. This Sunday night at Acadia Park, 650 Sackville Dr. will be the last of night of the fabulous Summer Concert Series, sponsored by the Freeman’s Little New York. From 7-8 enjoy the music from the past with the Flashbacks. The Flashbacks specialize in music from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, wonderful music for people who would like to reminisce about the good old days.
