It’s an interesting weekend with festivals, art walking tours, a vintage market & back to school shopping!
1. The Gottingen Uptown Festival is happening Saturday from 1-6. This street-wide event builds on the celebration of Gottingen Street’s 250th anniversary. With music, vendors, and activities, it is an opportunity to engage with local community and celebrate the great diversity and legacy of the neighbourhood!
2. Neat Repeats Consignment is hosting a Spring/Summer Sale on a load of children’s items including nearly new clothes, books, games, toys and so much more. Why pay full price when you can get it here for way less. There’s also a selection of maternity clothes and a pre-sale for new parents. Admission is $2 (cash only) from 9-1, New Parents Pre-Sale (8:15-9) $5 located at 2556 Larry Uteck Blvd.
3. More for moms, but who doesn’t love a great vintage find! Practically Everything Vintage Market, Old Farmhouse Creations, and LilyPond Vintage have teamed up to bring you the 4th Annual Outdoor Vintage Market in Enfield on Saturday at 9. There’s a little of everything— vintage finds, antiques, reclaimed gems salvaged by local artisans, and more. Admission is $2 at 449 Highway #2 (private residence).
4. Did you know that Art is all Around Us? Head downtown Halifax and take an art-centric walking tour guided expert from Argyle Fine Art. Explore and discover colourful murals, public art, hidden gems and interesting architecture. Tickets are on Eventbrite for $30 plus tax per person. Children 10 years and under are FREE and must be accompanied by an adult. There is also a family rate $95 plus tax that includes two adults + two youth / under 18.
