We have a jam-packed weekend, with great family friendly events and a road trip to a railway station!

1. Hit The Pit (aka Merv Sullivan Park in North End Halifax) on Saturday evening from 5:30-9:30 for the 19th Annual Northern Lights Lantern Festival. There will be bouncy castles, face painting, a free BBQ, live music, and, of course, a parade of lanterns at dusk followed by fireworks for a finale. This is a completely free community festival in the truest sense and everyone is welcome.

2. It’s the Eastern Passage Cow Bay Summer Carnival this Saturday and Sunday and it’s by far the best yet. With midway games and rides, kids parade, sandcastle contest, inflatables, and loads more, there’s something for everyone in your family to enjoy. Check out the schedule here!

3. The Bangladesh Festival is the first of it’s kind in Nova Scotia and taking place this Saturday and Sunday at the Halifax Forum, 11-9pm! This cultural festival will showcase thousand-year-old Bangladeshi culture, cuisine, music, performance, and much more. You can get a day pass online for $3.

4. If you feel like going for a worthy road trip, Music Fest 2022 is happening this Saturday, 12:30 at the Musquodoboit Harbour Railway Museum. Featuring the music of One Night Stand, Eric Manual & Country Friends, Katie Gaetz, Live Wire, and RK Hammond. Admission is free, donations to the museum are greatly appreciated!
