Animal babies, wiener pups, downtown markets and food trucks, that’s what fantastic summer weekends are made of!

1 – The Mom Market Halifax is celebrating everything DAD! This Saturday from 4-8 at the Halifax Brewery Farmer’s Market find over 30 local vendors, a brewski tour and live music. Spiderman will be there for photos and selfies from 7-8, plus there’ll be face painting and swag bags for the first 25 shoppers! Treat Dad, take him downtown to The DAD Market! 

2 – What do Hook the Cook, Roll on Two Chimney Cakes, Miller’s Gourmet, Mr. Smooth, Abhi’s Curry, and Smokinstein have in common? They’re all headed to 400 Sackville Dr. this weekend for the Food Truck Rally 2022. From 2-6 dig into delicious food, enjoy some free swag, giveaways AND a chance to win prizes.

3 – Shubie Park is hosting a Wienerful Day on Saturday at noon! At this most wienerific day of the year, dedicated to all the wonderful Dachshunds, there will be fantastic prizes to be won for longest the ween, lowest ween, youngest and oldest too. Find Smooch the Pooch, Wiener Races, BBQ, a yard sale and lots of vendors on site at this year’s Wienerpawlooza.

4 – Calling all weekend road-trippers! RiverBreeze Farm in Truro is having a Baby Animal Day. Head out to the farm on Saturday and Sunday see oh-so-cute baby goats, lambs, piglets, chicks, bunnies, ducks, horse and calves. The kiddos can enjoy the jumping pillow, slide, human foosball and many more playground activities. You’ll even get to see the adorable kangaroos, Bruce and Tilly. You’ll be able to purchase snacks and drink at the concession stand, open 10-4, both days. Admission is $13 and kids 3 and under are FREE.
