Tennis Time, Circus Time, Mini [Pop Kids] Revival, and Syrian Music to Celebrate to this weekend.
1. Tennis Time Nova Scotia provides a not-for-profit Kids Tennis Time model for children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to try tennis. They offer custom size tennis courts based on age with the correct size rackets and nets for children to use. For the months of February and March Tennis Time NS is offering free trial on weekends for children ages 5-13. Please contact Tennis Time at tennistime@tennistime.ca for more information and to sign up for a class.
2. Awesome circus course series alert! Classes start this weekend! No one is too young or too old to start building balance, strength, and coordination skills, and Studio In Essence provides a fun, soft, and safe environment to learn in with professional instructors. Parent & Toddler Circus Classes will build confidence, spatial awareness, and physical literacy in parents and toddlers alike. Classes will include learning the basics of flexibility, acrobatics, and aerials such as hoop and trapeze, all with thick mats underfoot. Who needs to walk when you can climb, spin, and tumble your way around? Classes are once a week, starting March 2nd from 10:45-11:15. It’s a 12-week program for just $120+tax!
3. Remember the Mini Pop Kids? Well those happy little scamps never got old! Mini Pop Kids, Take Flight Concert Tour will be in Halifax at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium this Saturday at 2 and 6. They are Canada’s bestselling kid’s music group, performing family-friendly versions of the year’s biggest hits. Tickets on sale here. And just kidding, they are not the same kids who put out the K-tel classic, “We’re the Mini Pops” in 1983. …Or are they?
4. Celebrate the courage, strength, and challenge that comes with arriving in a new place and making new friends this Saturday at Pier 21 on. Join Symphony NS, local Syrian musicians and conductor, Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser for a FREE Concert at 1:30 and 3. This concert will feature English/Arabic translation.
