2. Are you up for a sleigh ride and a delicious cup of hot chocolate made over an open fire? Visit Ross Farm Museum this Saturday morning at 9. Sample some homemade ice cream, bring your toboggan or try snowshoeing (loaners available) or bring your skis and for a wintery trek. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 seniors and students, $4 kids, FREE for 5 & under.
3. The Halifax Convention Centre invites you to enjoy and explore their space! Head downtown this Saturday at 1 for their Welcome Weekend, bring the kids and snack on popcorn while watching the Incredibles. There will be family friendly games, treats from the culinary team, and a chance to win tickets to the 2019 Memorial Cup! On Sunday at 10, ECMA artists Ian Janes and Jah’Mila will be entertaining the crowd!
4. A day of ice fishing expertise and fun? Throw on your warm outdoor clothes and sign the family up! Geared for anyone big on the outdoors, they’ll have outdoor demos and indoor seminars, covering topics such as ice huts, ice safety, foot warmth and even a live auger demonstration at 11:30. There will be free hot apple cider and Girl Guide cookies for sale, kids outdoor ice fishing game, and more! Presented by Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s, get into ice fishing by taking the Wright Avenue Exit off highway 118 in Dartmouth on Sunday starting at 11 and going all day.
