Get out and Take the Roof Off Winter! This weekend in Nova Scotia, see what Shubenacadie Sam has to say, go up a mountain, try out snowshoes, or taste some delicious. If you have been missing our Weekend Wrap-Up Roadtrip Recommendations…this Wrap-Up is full of frosty family adventure!
- This weekend begins on Thursday with the free screening of the classic Bill Murray film, Groundhog Day at Alderney Landing. Doors open at 7:30, only a limited amount of tickets will be available at the door, so if you haven’t already got yours from a Downtown Dartmouth business, we suggest arriving early. Yes, it’s free. Yes, you still need a ticket. Repeat this GHD theme on Friday at Shubenacadie Wildlife Park and see what Shubenacadie Sam sees…his shadow? If he does, we are in for six more weeks of winter; however, we know that beyond a shadow of a doubt, either way, spring will arrive…eventually. All activities at the park begin at 7 and are free. Sam will come out at 8 sharp to make his spring prophecy.
- Hit the slopes at Ski Martock! There is a lot going on up the mountain this weekend. To get there, take Highway 101 towards Windsor, veer off inland on Highway 14, and follow the signs to the mountain.
