1. The Nova Scotia Museum is pleased to welcome you back and for FREE! All Nova Scotia Museum sites entrance fees will be waived for the months of July and August, 2021. Phase 3 of the re-opening plan allows museums to operate at 50% capacity but visitors still need to continue to follow public health measures like social distancing and masks.
2. There’s a new exhibit in town! Head to the Discovery Center and check out Amazing Butterflies! Created by The Natural History Museum in London in collaboration with Minotaur Mazes, this exhibit invites you to shrink down into the undergrowth to become one of the most extraordinary creatures on earth. Experience the surprising challenges of being a caterpillar as it morphs into a beautiful butterfly through an interactive maze of larger-than-life leaves, grass and trees. Along the way, discover the ways caterpillars move, what they eat and how other creatures help them achieve their transformation into a butterfly! Cost is admission and you can get your tickets here!
3. We’re sad to see you go HumaniT Cafe! Friends if you have never graced the doorstep (5755 Young St.) of this Halifamous Cafe then you have one last chance before they close their doors and move forward with new endeavours. Still open until August 6, stop by and try their delicious gelato, a delightful cup of tea or a nice brewed coffee.
4. TD Halifax Jazz Festival is celebrating 35 years of community and connection! They are rolling out the virtual red carpet to bring you a hybrid festival experience which includes over 30+ performances. From July 14 to August 15, 2021, there’s jammed packed line-up of virtual shows that you can enjoy from your couch, patio or cottage. Plus educational Jazz Labs and Creative Music WorkShop Series!
