Crafty crafts, and twinkle lights. This weekend is pretty festive.

This weekend is beginning to feel a lot, like… festive! We have a line up full of plenty of Craft Shows as well as pancakes and sparkling trees. If you thought Halloween was the “most wonderful time of the year”, we will call you happily mistaken! That particular phrase belongs a certain upcoming winter holiday…

  1. We originally posted Light Up Bedford Parade, but this event is not until next week, November 21, 2021. Sorry!

2. The North Woodside Community Centre, at 230 Pleasant St in Dartmouth, is hosting the Kris Kringle Craft Show & Pancake Breakfast this Saturday starting at 9am because there aint no better way to start your shopping than filling your belly with delicious pancakes and sausages. With over 80 craft tables we are sure you will find the perfect gift for someone special. Admission with breaky is $5, or if you’re watching your waistline before the holidays then it’s $2 for the Craft Show for anyone 12 and up.

3. Cross off your Christmas list with curated handmade gifts with a visit to Christmas at the Cove! Located in the heart of Eastern Passage (only 15 minutes from downtown Dartmouth) you will find Fisherman’s Cove, a colorful village of gift shops and eateries, supporting over 100 local artisans. Top it off with a visit to the Heritage Centre at the end of the Boardwalk to discover even more holiday magic. If you miss it this weekend, Santa won’t worry, Christmas as the Cove will run again on November 20th, December 4th & 18th from 10 to 4.

4. But wait! There are more craft markets!

This weekend will be a Winter Wonderland Extravaganza at Cole Harbour Place, 51 Forest Hills Parkway in Dartmouth. From 10-3 Saturday and Sunday, enjoy over 50 tables of beautiful crafted goods from local artisans. Admission is $2.

The Beaverbank Winery is hosting a Christmas Craft Show this weekend too. Local artisans, handmade gifts, and tasty goodies to choose from. Both Saturday and Sunday from 10-4 at 496 Carleton Road in Lawrencetown.

This Sunday is the 7th Annual Tanatallon Holiday Craft Market at Shining Waters Marine, 148 Nautical Way in Upper Tantallon, if you’re out that way. Enjoy lots of local crafts and goodies from 10-3. Admission is a non-perishable food item or a nominal donation to the local food bank.
