It’s going to be a holly, jolly, night-time market going, vinyl loving and tree lighting good time, but take some time to remember.

1. The Halifax Shopping Centre is hosting a Holiday Tree Lighting Saturday from 6:30-8pm. It’s a great way to get into the festive season with live music, hot chocolate, shopping, and meet Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer!

2. Do you have a budding record collector in your house? Pass on your love of vinyl to your kiddo’s and take that album cover lover to the Halifax Record Fair. Admission is $5, and kids under 12 are free. Head to the Forum, 2901 Windsor Street on Saturday, 10-4pm.

3. Stop by the North-by-Night Holiday Market Open Street Edition this Saturday, 2-9pm, on Agricola Street. Enjoy the atmosphere of the hip North End with live music, warm mulled wine, in-store specials, local artisans, food trucks and family activities. It will be an all-around good time!

4. Don’t forget the Remembrance Day 21-Gun Salute from the Halifax Citadel saluting battery on Friday at 11 followed the traditional noon gun blast. This meaningful way to spend this important day is FREE of charge from 10-2pm.
