Fall is fleeting so get your last not-too-cold moments in there with the family. Scare a scarecrow if you dare so, applaud an apple, don’t resist the race, and dart to Dartmouth at Dusk!
1. Ring in Autumn with a trip down to Mahone Bay’s Scarecrow Festival & Antique Fair! Other highlights include children’s activities and crafts, musical entertainment, historic graveyard tours, pancake breakfast, yard sales, and a quilt jamboree. The festival kicks off on Friday morning when all the Scarecrows are officially on display and the festivities last all weekend! The scarecrows will be sticking around for a while though.
2. TMM (The Mom Market Collective) Halifax is heading BACK to Cole Harbour Place for this years’ Apple Fest Market! This Saturday, 11-3, shop 40 local vendors, grab an apple, check out some amazingly tasty treats and sips from local food trucks, get your face painted, and more! What a way to have some family fun right before the cold snap hits! Plus, open swim is 2-3 and 4-3, and parent and tot swim is 5-6 at the pool and double plus: the playground they have at Cole Harbour Place is a great one!
3. Scotia Speedworld here we come! This Friday night is Tim’s Corner Motorsports Finale Friday and Saturday is the Season Finale for the EastCoast International Trucks, Inc. Maritime Pro Stock Tour – the Tirecraft 200! Saturday and Weekend grandstand tickets are on sale now AND if you purchase prior to Wednesday, you’ll be entered into a draw for an East Coast International Prize Pack! Hit the track while it’s not too nippy.
4. The Dartmouth Makers proudly presented Dartmouth at Dusk – a summer series of handmade markets in the tent at Alderney Gate. Each market runs from 5-9, features a new lineup of makers, and is free admission. Makers range from ceramicists to painters, bakers to brewers, clothing designers and more! This is their last market for the summer.
