What do Opa, Om, and EveryOne have in common? This fantastic weekend, that’s what!

– Opa! Get ready for the oldest and largest cultural festival, the Halifax Greek Fest, this week. The festival will kick off Thursday, June 9th, with authentic Greek food and a tour of St. George’s Church. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, be entertained by Greek music and dance, and immerse yourself in the Greek culture. BONUS: This year there is no entrance fee and you can order a delicious Donair, Gyro, Souvlaki and more, right from their website, from their To-Go-Menu.

– The Halifax Forum is hosting the Halifax Body, Mind & Spirit Expo on Saturday. If you’re into yoga, aromatherapy, fine art, energy healing, and many other offerings, then put this on your to-do list. Tickets are $5 in advance, $8 at the door for adult and kids under 12 are FREE. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Hope for Wildlife and World Wildlife Fund.

– There’s a Festival of Everyone this Saturday from 1-4. The Every One Every Day Neighbourhood Shop at 2169 Gottingen St. will be open for everyone to come and explore. They’re closing down Gottingen St. between Cornwallis and Cunard for lots of fun, hands-on activities. Join the neighbourhood for some dancing, games, crafts, and so much more!

– Tighten up those laces this weekend but leave your pyjamas on! This Sunday funday brings us the 6th annual PJ Walk for Kids in support of Ronald McDonald House. This pledge-based fundraiser helps allow families with sick children to stay together and near the medical care they need. The fun-filled morning starts at 9:30 at 5816 Cogswell St, Halifax Commons.
