Who doesn’t love a Saturday afternoon road trip, a celebration with Pride, a walk through the sunflowers or an afternoon of international food and snazzy entertainment?
1. Hit the road to Lunenburg to celebrate regional cultural heritage, creativity, and craftsmanship! You’re family is invited the 45th annual Lunenburg Craft & Food Festival at the Lunenburg War Memorial Arena (19 Green Street) and the Lunenburg Community Centre Auditorium (15 Green Street) on Saturday from 10-5, Sunday 10-4. This show brings together some of the finest artisans, craftspeople, musicians, entertainers, and food vendors to create a unique summer marketplace. 2. Celebrate with Pride that kids these days have the freedom to be whoever they want to be! There’s tons to see and plenty to participate in during the 10 day celebration. Take a hip-hop class, run the Rainbow Run, or take in a few main stage shows. Join in the tradition of commemoration and celebration! There’s so much going on check out their schedule of events!
3. Get lost in a field of Sunflowers. Unplug the family for a day or take a moment to reconnect with a bit of Nature. Open August to mid September, Dakeyne Farm Sunflower Maze is now booking “By Appointment Only”. Just 3 miles from Windsor, this road trip makes for a nice little adventure. 4. PCANS is hosting the 74th Independence Day of Pakistan celebration this Saturday, from 4-8, at the Kearny Lake Masjid. Enjoy the variety of delicious food and amazing crafts, and fun activities for both kids and parents.
