At Parade Square (off Barrington St. in front of city hall) and Point Pleasant Park (Sailor's memorial) Join in on either one, both begin at 11:00am on Sunday, November 11th. At 11 am, the 1st Field Artillery Regiment will provide a 21-gun salute in front of the main entrance to the Halifax Citadel NHS. Following the gun salute and the noon gun, the Army Museum will be open to visitors from 11 am until 3 pm. Admission to the site is free. 2. Make-A-Wish Hair Challenge! Come buzz all your hair off at Halifax Shopping Centre on Saturday to raise money for this great foundation! Concepts Career College will be there to paint you or your child's nails, apply glitter lip gloss, hair glitter, make-up or pony tails for a $5 donation. There will also be KC's face painting by donation! 3. LEGO block party! Let your imagination go wild with the library’s LEGO® collection. Fun for the whole family. Saturday at 2:15pm at the Keshen Goodman Public Library! 4. There are 2 holiday craft fairs this weekend! A Christmas market will be held at the Sackville Legion on Saturday November 10th from 9am to 2pm. Includes antiques, crafts, collectables, DVD's, hockey cards, a silent auction and much more. And the North Woodside Community Centre is featuring the Kris Kringle Craft Show & Pancake Breakfast on Saturday! Come and browse over 50 fantastic craft tables in their gymnasium & classrooms! 5. On Saturday from 3-4pm head to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic to join the author and illustrator in celebrating the launch of Bluenose Twelve Days of Christmas. Enjoy a reading of the retold classic, enjoy some snacks, and get your book signed by the author and illustrator for a special present this Christmas!
