A Halifax Weekend of Discovery, Empowerment, Inspiration, and Joy!
1. What is family, anyway? Can you pick your family or is it determined by biology? Is family the people you share holidays with? Or… is it more of a feeling? Pier 21 explores the strong and free Canadian family this weekend with the opening of the Family Bonds & Belonging exhibition. Celebrate Canadian identity. Connect with stories from early and contemporary families. Ponder your own family’s uniqueness and muse on the joy and complexities of bonds and belonging. Family: It’s NOT all relative. Open during regular museum hours, (Wednesday-Sunday 10-5), adult tickets are 14.50 and kids 5 and under are free! Plus, kids have their own special section of the museum where they can crawl through a pillow fort, play games, and learn about the child’s important family role.
