1. Make this Friday night Movie Night! Pack the family up and head to Alderney Landing for the Reel Family Movie Night. This month’s feature is SHREK. Concessions are available for purchase but the movie is totally FREE and starts at 7.
2. Take a walk on the Coldest Night of the Year! This Friday evening the ARK Halifax invites you for a family-friendly walk that raises money for charities serving hungry, homeless, and hurting people in our community. 3. It’s Teacher Appreciation Weekend at Pier 21! The whole weekend is open for teachers and their immediate family to explore the Museum for FREE! Learn about curriculum-based education programs. Test out the programs first-hand and enter to win a prize. Coffee, tea, and refreshments will be served. Teachers and educators bring your teacher ID card, the fun starts at 10!
4. FAME. Fashion. Art. Music. Eat. Head to Captain William Spry Public Library this Sunday at 2:30 for an afternoon celebration of live music, art, food tasting, and a fashion show! The 4th Annual African Heritage Festival features Duntan Salvador, Dut-luscious Cakes, The Maritime Centre for African Dance, Mary’s African Cuisine, and musician Art Bouman.
