Yum. Yum. Yum. I just mixed this one up and then proceeded to eat most of it with a crunchy Granny Smith, and it’s only 9:15 a.m. Don’t tell anyone!
This is a quick and easy caramel dip your family can enjoy with our delicious local fall apples.
The greek yoghurt provides protein, and the molasses is a source of calcium, magnesium and potassium, as well as iron, vitamin B6, selenium and copper. Molasses provides far more nutrition than regular table sugar, which gives us calories and carbs, but nothing else, making it a “non-food” in my books!
Whip it up in less than ﬁve minutes and enjoy — It’s also school-lunch safe, just make sure you keep it cool!
1/4 c. nonfat plain greek yoghurt
1 tsp molasses
1.5 tsp real maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp cinammon
To prepare: Blend ingredients together with a spoon and serve with a sliced apple (2 tablespoons or so per serving of dip).
