1. Taking BLK the Waterfront! This Saturday at 4, head to the Halifax waterfront for live music, scrumptious food, art, jewellery, crafts and so much more! Taking BLK is a grassroots vendors market born in the North End of Halifax featuring 30+ Black/African Nova Scotian upcoming, new and emerging businesses.Taking BLK thrives on promoting, supporting, and giving opportunity to the Black/African Nova Scotian businesses in our communities while ensuring we all have equal access to exposure and opportunity so get on down to the waterfront for a family friendly Saturday evening of food, vendors, and live entertainment!


2. When was the last time you took a horse drawn wagon ride? The family round up at Hatfield Farms has all those fun things to do – and what kid doesn’t love a petting pen and all you can eat hotdogs? Reserve online on their website. Tickets are $19.99 +hst per person but kids under 2 are FREE. Doors open at 10:30 Saturday & Sundays. It’s a darn tootin’ swell time.


3. You still have a few days left to enjoy FREE admission at all 28 Nova Scotia Provincial Museums. Check out the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic or the Museum of Natural History, 1675 Lower Water Street, downtown or The Museum of Natural History, 1747 Summer St in Halifax.
