From Pirates to Superheroes, the Great Outdoors to the Party in the Kitchen, this weekend has it all in stores, museums, and shows!

1. Myths, Legends: Pirate Adventures! Set sail to Canada’s largest and oldest maritime museum, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic! Enjoy your adventure of themed and historical activities, games and crafts…and if you dare, endeavour to make exciting discoveries in virtual reality! So, practice your pirate talk, sharpen your ship skills, and join the mighty museum crew for adventures of the sea! All activities are included with regular museum admission. The exhibit goes on from March 14-22, and the museum is open daily: 10-12, 1-4, Sundays only: 1-4.

2. Want to be a SUPERHERO?! The Bayers Lake Chapters is hosting an Indigo Kids March Break event, Saturday from 11-12 and 2-3. Come dressed as your favourite superhero, make your own superhero mask and comic, and enjoy a little story time!

3. Is summer calling you? Love the great outdoors? Get revved up at the Atlantic Outdoor Sports and RV Show! March 13-15, head to the biggest indoor Sports and RV Show in Atlantic Canada for some inspiration for your next hike, camping trip, or family road trip adventure. There will be entertainment, celebrities and tricks, fishing experts, and more. Basically, if it has anything to do with the great outdoors in Atlantic Canada, you’ll find it at the show. Admission is $12 for adult, $10 for senior, kids $10, family pass $34, and children 4 and under are FREE.

4. This Family Sunday, make it a Kid’s Kitchen Party! This Sunday’s Kitchen Party is brought to you by the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia! From 1-4, enjoy an art-filled kitchen party with music and art marking inspired by the colourfully painted objects of Maud Lewis and other folk artists. Family Sundays are a monthly drop-in program included with the price of admission to the gallery.
